The World’s Oldest New Flavours
Through working with a network of small distilleries across the region, I formed a relationship with an Indigenous-led spirits company founded by Daniel Motlop, who has built a sustainable family business grounded in culture and traditional harvesting practices. Working with ingredients wild harvested by the Larrakia people of the Darwin region, I’ve supported the team in continuing their story through a range of Whisky’s and print collateral.

Sevens Seasons Whisky
This collection formed the basis for a series of four Whisky labels, drawing on the Crocodile as a central motif—its skin pattern translated through texture and detail across each release. The designs explore the Larrakia (Gulumoerrgin) season, the heavy dew time, where cool, controlled burn-offs are undertaken to care for Country and regenerate the land, often using Paperbark. These notions are juxtaposed with references to early trade and flavour— the introduction of Tamarind and Native Honey—creating a layered narrative that connects Larrakia culture, history and flavours.
